What would you tell someone about your organization who is thinking about joining?
BGAMA is a great organization to join if you're interested in learning more about what marketing and what a marketing career looks like. Members also have the ability to network with corporate partners and learn from recruiters in various professional development workshops. BGAMA also knows how to have fun by holding various social events with other student organizations and community service events throughout the BG community.
What is the time commitment like for a new member who joins your organization?
BGAMA holds a general meeting every other Wednesday from 7:30-8:30. BGAMA also holds community service events, professional development workshops and various social events that are optional for members unless they want to attend our International Collegiate Conference (ICC). All members are made aware of the requirements to attend ICC at the first general meeting of the semester.

What information can you share about dues that might help a potential member who is considering joining your organization?
Local dues are paid by the BGAMA corporate sponsors. However, in order to be eligible for conference and competitions, members must pay the AMA National Organizations dues.
What are the signature events/programs or initiatives of your organization?
BGAMA holds general meetings every other Wednesday where members hear from guest speakers from corporate sponsors and other marketing and sales organizations. BGAMA also holds various community service events, professional development workshops and social events throughout the academic year where members are encouraged to give back to the community, enhance their professional skills and socialize with other SCOB students.
